Shopping around for an indoor TETRA solution
Deira City Centre, a shopping mall in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, features over 370 stores and services. Opened in 1995, it was Dubai’s first large-scale, mixed-use shopping mall,with retail outlets, restaurants, entertainment and hotels. Attracting over 19 million visitors annually, the mall has become one of the region’s most visited destinations.
Critical communications group aims for a global standard
True mission-critical mobile broadband has moved a step closer with the first full meeting of the Critical Communications Broadband Group (CCBG), a working group of the TETRA + Critical Communications Association (TCCA).
City lights
Built to offer efficient voice and data communications for electricity supply workers, a TETRA network serving the Johannesburg area is set to develop into something significantly larger as other user groups share its potential. Richard Lambley reports
